Food Cravings: 5 Tips to Reduce Them

1) Stop the restrictive diets

The majority of diets promote calories/ food consumption which is just not enough for our bodies (even when trying to lose weight) – causes food cravings – body is hungry for more calories. Learn more here.

2) Don't let yourself get ravenously hungry

Food cravings are heightened when we find ourselves super hungry. This is because our bodies are after easy energy fixes.

3) Let go of the all or nothing mindset towards food

No food is good or bad. Instead focus on nourishing your body first and foremost.

4) Focus on what you are adding in

Focus on adding in more wholefoods that will nourish your body and make you feel great – get excited about this.

5) Address the habits which are causing you to reach for certain foods

For example - When you feel stressed and you find yourself craving certain foods get curious about what thoughts and feelings are coming up. Learn more about how to do this here.

Food cravings come from the restrictions and associations that we have with certain foods and we need to address.
